I mean when I was 15/16 I was hanging out with girls. As a matter of fact the more girls I could hang out with the better. What do these young boys do? Wait until they are 50 years old and can marry one?

Many boys are forced to leave the community its not a matter of 'they are too young' its a matter of there are too many of them. Those who stay get married to their first wife when they are youngish (late teens/20's) and continue to marry as they get older..

A couple years ago, when Jeffs was still on the run, there were stories about this - how 'excess' young males were sent away, rejected on one pretext or another. While the girls were kept practically under lock and key, the boys were encouraged to leave, and many left on their own when they realized they were unlikely to be allowed a wife from within the community. This actually helped maintain the cult, as it continually re-inforced the power of the older men - only the most trustworthy were brought into full membership and rewarded with wives, and the potential troublemakers were shown the road.
