Laura Bush Gets an Hour as Guest Host on "Today" Show |
|
Edited on Tue Apr-15-08 11:25 AM by goose4739
Source: Associated Press
The network said she'll host the 9 a.m. EDT hour April 22, the morning of the Pennsylvania primary. By that time in the four-hour morning show, politics is usually set aside for issues that affect women, who make up the majority of the audience during that time period.
Mrs. Bush will participate in several segments and interviews, NBC said Tuesday. She will be joined earlier in the broadcast by her daughter Jenna to talk about their new children's book, "Read All About It!" The first lady will also give Ann Curry a tour of the Bush family ranch in Crawford, Texas.
NBC is owned by the General Electric Co.

Must be using the Joker face to promote the new "Batman" movie.

7. How is it setting politics aside to have the spouse of a president |
|
"guest host" , on the morning of a presidential primary, with a daughter that is soon to wed? And we get a "tour" of the "Western" White House?
Soooo...if Laura and Jenna Nobody wrote a book, they would be guest hosting too?
