or there abouts, not counting property taxes. I'd rather be paying for veterans benefits than funerals

|
Edited on Wed Apr-16-08 10:36 AM by slackmaster
But not sales taxes, which I figure was somewhere around $3,300.
BTW I am a divorced empty-nester, 50, and happy to help out with my fair share of necessities like education and infrastructure.

6. I think the bite will be smaller for me |
|
because so much of my income is protected. My dad was allergic to taxes and voted GOP until 2004, when I'm delighted he finally came to his senses and voted for Kerry.
My property taxes are low because I moved to a poor state.
The sales tax bite is high because it's a poor state. There is also an income tax.
I suppose my total tax will be in the low five figures this year.

11. I'm In Your Ballpark... |

I moved money out of the market last fall and took a capital gains hit, but I'm glad I did it. I also paid for several funerals...or in my view...the families are the last to get the money...I wss seeing a Blackwater check being written with my "contribution".
