I'd hate to curb this economic growth
President Bush on Wednesday called for a halt in the growth of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions by 2025 and urged other major polluting nations to develop national goals to address climate change.
In a Rose Garden speech on global warming, Bush expressed concern that Congress might pass climate legislation that would hurt economic growth

What economic growth? Is the president worried congress might pass something that would cause the US economy to grow?

3. I know Republicans, who are against taxes, saying offshored jobs should be tariffed
and that would equal the playing field...

Wow.

5. I know republicans
who are for taxes for the poor and middle class but not the rich, saying offshore jobs save their corporate CEO friends money and have no interest in their workers well being. I would appear these Republicans have the presidents ear since he's had 7+ years and did zero to move towards lowering the tax burden on the middle class or adding tariffs.

2. Why do people fail to see the emergence of the environmental economy?
It's absolutely ripe for the picking. President Gore would have already had it in full swing.

4. How much clout does he have on Apple's board?
Given he's been there since 2003 and how even Greenpeace, 4 years later, lambasted Apple for poor "green" policies and followthrough...

(at least Apple had acknowledged the problem, but they have been anything BUT at the forefront on this. At least HP and even Dell have.)

Plenty of other sites and situations as well.

Mr. Gore is certainly not wrong in that there is a legitimate issue, but prevailing circumstances should have more people asking what good he's done on Apple's board, as actions define more than words -- and if even I can find out this stuff, who couldn't?
