Did you know that we DID secure the ammo dumps in Iraq?? Did you?
We DID!!!

REFILE-CORRECTING DATE TO APRIL 17, 2008. Iraqi soldiers inspect rockets and other munitions in a village in Yusufiya south of Baghdad April 17, 2008. More than 1000 rockets which the police said are used in making roadside bombs were found buried on the ground in a village in Yusufiya.

4. Welcome to DU
There were stories (the NYT story about al Qua Qua for instance) of personnel being on site at some of these ammo dumps but they were told to leave them and keep going forward (towards Baghdad)

and the same stories told of alSadr and "leaders" like him dispatching trucks to haul off as much of this ammo as they could get. And apparently they got quite a lot.

Somebody can't tell the difference between a rocket and a bunch of 40mm artillery shells. Not much credence in this story.
