"patriotism", would even think of buying a flag/pin or anything else depicting one of our nation's symbols that was made outside of this country. Just shows me that mindset of those who who are enchanted w/"patriotism" and not understanding the concept. It is far more than flags and pins and all of the "feel good" stuff. It also consists of protecting one's nation from enemies, both foreign and domestic...especillay the domestic. Why does the bush cabal pop into my mind?

3. Those pins have bothered me from the get go

and it's not just where they are made or what they are made of. To me they have same essence of the swastika for Nazi Germany's fascism as the lapel pins do for this administration. Meaning these bastards' staged their 'next Pearl Harbor', then put out the red, white, and blue, in order to create the rampant nationalism needed to invade sovereign nations, purchase detainees, render them to countries who torture, suspend Habeas Corpus, keep a gulag like Gitmo, and employ mercenaries like Blackwater. I know there's plenty more. That little flag pin has come to mean Mr. Bush can skirt the rule of law with a signing statement and do any fucking thing he feels like. That little flag pin has superseded MY constitution. I hate what it means now.
