AUDIO-Stephanopoulos taking orders
http://thinkprogress.org/2008/04/17/steph-hannity-audio/

HANNITY: There are two questions that I don’t think anybody has asked Barack Obama, and I don’t know if this is going to be on your list tomorrow. One is – the only time he’s ever been asked about his association with Bill Ayers, the unrepentant terrorist from the Weather Underground who on 9/11 of all days in the New York Times was saying “I don’t regret setting bombs. I don’t think we did enough.” When asked about it by the Politico, David Axelrod said that they have a friendly relationship, and that they had done a number of speeches together and that they sat on a board together. Is that a question you might ask?

STEPHANOPOULOS: Well, I’m taking notes right now.

HANNITY: September 11, 2001 of all days, there was an article in the New York Times. And there are a number of quotes about Bill Ayers. The Politico had in there the comments from David Axelrod.

2. Stephanopoulos is a an ex-Clinton employee and loyalist.
Why in the world was he on the panel? This stuff was fed by the Clinton campaign to ABC. This is just ridiculous.

3. I have defended Stephanopoulos here at DU. I am here to confess that I was wrong.
As the primary season has marched on, George consistently has loaded his program with hardline rightwingers and former Clinton staffers (just like him). They no longer try to disguise the bias they show.

I've had my Brokeback Mountain moment: George, I wish I could quit you, and I shall. I could another hour on Sunday mornings.

4. Does he ever have EJ Dionne on anymore?
not that EJ is all that liberal but in today's media he is way out of the normal parameters.

I mean given that Cokie Roberts is still giving her keen insight and all :eyes: :sarcasm:

6. Not just George - here's what Hillary said:
"that relationship with Mr. Ayers on this board continued after 9/11 and after his reported comments, which were deeply hurtful to people in New York, and I would hope to every American, because they were published on 9/11 and he said that he was just sorry they hadn't done more. And what they did was set bombs and in some instances people died. "

Here's what Wiki says:

In 2001, Ayers published Fugitive Days: A Memoir. Ayers's interview with the New York Times about his book was published on September 11, 2001, and opens with his statement, "I don't regret setting bombs, I feel we didn't do enough." The interview also includes his reaction (in his book) to Emile De Antonio's 1976 documentary film about the Weathermen: "He was 'embarrassed by the arrogance, the solipsism, the absolute certainty that we and we alone knew the way. The rigidity and the narcissism." <1>On April 6, 2008 Ayers claimed that by "no regrets" he meant that he didn't regret his efforts to oppose the Vietnam War, and that "we didn't do enough" was that efforts to stop the war were obviously inadequate as it dragged on for a decade.<3> Ayers has nonetheless repeated the "no regrets" statement in the spring of 2008 without qualification<4> New Politics reviewer Jesse Lemisch has contrasted Ayers' recollections with those of other Weathermen and alleged serious factual errors.<5>

So, in a debate that included questions about Hillary's veracity, she implied that Mr. Ayers was interviewed on September 11, 2001 after the towers came down and applauded that action. Clearly the statement was recorded before 9/11 and it is not clear that Mr. Ayers wished he had planted more bombs.
