Is the Pope still an "honorary Republican" today?
yesterday

FOX News' Shepard Smith immediately warped the point of the event, and turned the conversation to one of political ramifications, "There were some somewhat political moments in there, when he talked about the sanctity of life, that's certainly a political issue here, and I've heard this Pope described and read repeatedly in studying for these events as an honorary Republican. Is there politics intertwined here by design, or by happenstance?"

but then today--he brings race into it :scared:

"Americans have always been a people of hope," he said during his homily. "Your ancestors came to this country with the experience of finding new freedom and opportunity.

"To be sure, this promise was not experienced by all the inhabitants of this land; one thinks of the injustices endured by the native American peoples and by those brought here forcibly from Africa as slaves."

1. Why not?
He's a former Nazi which would make him lean Republican. Plus his orgnization's has many child molesters, just like the Republican party.
