Bush: "Failure in Iraq will send a message to Iran"
British PM: Bush owed 'a huge debt of gratitude'

President Bush and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown at a news conference at the White House Thursday.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown discussed a range of topics at the White House on Thursday including terrorism, fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran and economic issues, Bush told reporters afterward.

The president said he appreciates the contributions of British troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Britain has nearly 8,000 forces around Basra, in southern Iraq.

"We're making progress," Bush said. "Failure in Iraq will send a message to Iran that the United States and its allies were not intent on making sure they stay within the borders of their country. ... It's worth it to succeed."

Brown added, "The world owes George Bush a huge debt of gratitude" for his efforts against terrorists.

3. You can't get much more incoherent than that.
Does George really want to talk about countries that don't stay within their borders?

8. So now we can't admit a mistake because . . . .
So now we can't admit and begin to fix this mistake because Iran will laugh at us. I guess the old standby - this will make all the deaths that have gone before meaningless - has finally played itself out. Now we have to save face with other countries that already hold us in contempt. Brilliant!

And while Brown made some early moves that indicated he might be his own man, apparently being on the short end of Bush's leash is just too, too nice.

Motherfuckers. War criminals.

13. Huge debt of gratitude.

The world does owe Bush a debt of gratitude. Without him, America would still be dominating the rest of the world. Bush gave up America's position in the world. Other countries benefitted. Al Qaeda too, and it is not even a country.

Two, four, six, eight! Who do foreign countries appreciate? Bush! Bush! Bush!
