FYI: original affidavit in Texas FLDS abuse case |

I didn't see this posted anywhere and thought those following the case might be interested. Please feel free to post your own legal document "finds" in this case in a reply. http://extras.mnginteractive.com/live/media/site297/2008/0408/20080408_033754_FLDS_Affidavit.pdf

at all NOW, of course; once the authorities laid their eyes on the pregnant minors, the original caller and her complaint became completely moot.
Boy, now we know why they don't let them go into town........they would have been in trouble a lot sooner if any of the good folks of Eldorado had seen a pregnant 13-yr-old. There might have been a good old-fashioned hangin' right then and there.....

3. The scope of the precedings and mistakes. |
|
I worry that the scope of the precedings is so large that mistakes could happen. If there are mistakes made would that preclude taking these cases to trial? Justice should be served and yet the sheer magnitude is unlike anything I've seen. It seem overwhelming from a jurisprudence perspective. Thanks for posting a court document.

5. There is no "trial" on a child abuse/custody action, IIRC. It's |
|
all done in hearings, and a judge makes all decisions.
IMHO we will see criminal charges eventually come out of this, but it will take a while. And then there is the prospect of civil suits against the parents on behalf of the kids......
Yeah, it's a big huge mess, but I like what I am hearing about it so far. The judge seems to have things under control and isn't letting the parents' attorneys monkeywrench and clog up the works.

I fear she was found out before the deputies arrived and got to her, and she's either already been killed by the clan or else is being held somewhere against her will.
I read one report which said that, when asked, several of the children reported that they knew who "Sarah" was. Then all of a sudden, she's no where to be found?
I keep hoping that maybe the authorities have her in protective custody and simply aren't willing to release that information publicly.
This is one sick situation.
