So why is the media saying the economy is good but also bad?
Does anyone have any ideas as to why the media is saying the economy is going to be going good one day (today, actually), but just the day before is releasing stories that the economy is going to continue to be bad?

I can understand an agenda in which they want people to believe one way or the other, but constantly going back and forth between "Oh it's going to be great" to "Oh it's going to be bad" doesn't make any sense.

I can only think of two possible reasons my self

1. They don't know whether or not the republicans are going to want them to say the economy is good or bad come election time, so they are releasing mixed articles until then to keep people prepared for either option.

OR

2. They don't know what the hell they are talking about AND the can't even decide what kind of message they want to send out.

1. Because they are a bunch of collective dumbasses?
One suspects that the economy of big time "journalists" isn't all that bad. But maybe they feel that every now and then they should say something about reality, just to pique interest.

2. because they are tools for the republicans?
As soon as the Democrats take over...watch for them to talk non-stop about how bad things have gotten since the Democrats took over.
Right now they are treading water hoping nobody notices how bad things have gotten.

6. Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner! There's only one reason that
the news shit hasn't hit the news fan/mighty Wurlitzer -- a Dem isn't president yet. As soon as that happens (if it happens -- I have my doubts), you'll hear all the bad news in spades.

7. 3. They're elitist bastards whose income is in the 7 figures
and while they might have lost money in the stock market last quarter, they see it going up again now.

They're disconnected from reality and don't know what the hell this economy has done for the past seven years, is doing now, and will likely keep doing until the GOP is out and Reaganomics finally buried with a stake into the sac of putrefaction it calls a heart.
