Where are all the over 50 women in the FLD |
|
case? All I see are those who haven't hit menopause yet. Can anyone enlighten me?

1. Oh good lord. Go to abc.com and look at the photos. Some look quite old. |

I hadn't been to the ABC site. I caught some of the news on TV tonight, and saw only younger women.

2. You are seeing only the mothers of young children. |
|
The older women are probably still at the ranch.
They allowed mothers to stay with children under five. Even giving them that much is a special privilege. Usually, when children are taken by a state's protective services they are separated from both parents.
This may have been done for some constructive reasons, too. These children know nothing but life on the ranch and would be very disoriented. And some of the mothers of children under five are still minors themselves.

3. This compound is only a few years old, and members were handpicked |
|
by the prophet and his henchmen to live in "Zion" and propagate the "pure race." I'm sure there are older women living in the compound to keep the younger women in line, but probably not as many as we would normally expect.
