Becky Garrick passed away last evening , surrounded by her family and friends.

Becky was a former member of DU until she was tombstoned. She pushed the envelope once too often but she was a good person that deserved to be heard.

16. Iirc, Becky go into it with someone else who is no longer here.

The thing I will always remember about her is how she helped protect Andy at the end of his life even when she wasn't feeling very well herself.

She was a good friend to us all. Becky really cared about DU. One of the last things she wrote to me about was how she missed the people here.

I think it really helped her. You're right, she was very stoic about her illness. She never asked for any pity, but instead, prayed for others.

34. Such a sad loss for everyone who was touched by Becky. In her suffering she shared so much

Not long ago she and I had a conversation via email of how she was feeling , she always had hope, and never lost her love of life.

I feel so sad as I was out of the country and only got her son's note late last night when I returned..Her son had sent an email a few days ago saying if we wanted him to read something to her, to send an email, he would read to her..I would have loved to tell this special woman how deeply she touched my life and how she was a hero to me. But she and i shared those thoughts many times before.

Becky , you will always have a special place in my heart. You never stopped fighting for the truth, and you are an inspiration to all whose lives you touched with such genuine compassion.

I will write directly to Becky's family.

I have no doubt that Becky will be among the very special angels and she will keep them all filled with love and compassion.

I will miss you my friend ...your love of life and country will stay with everyone you shared your love of life with.

My condolences to Becky's family and thank you for sharing this special, special lady with us.Please take comfort that Becky was deeply loved by many of us, and we held her with the deepest regards in our hearts.

May Becky rest in peace now, pain free and soar with the angels.
