if you are debating this with a war supporter who believes this.

If the improbable claim is true, then what did the war, and the threat of war accomplish, except to move the WMDs into the hands of terrorists? At best, the claim reinforces the point that the invasion of Iraq was a combination of delusion and incompetence.
