The "Red State" Media weighs in on "Expelled"
from the Salt Lake Tribune:

While many right-wingers decried Michael Moore for playing fast-and-loose with the facts in his documentaries, apparently other conservatives said, "Hey, if he can do it, so can we."
And, lo, there appeared "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed," a slick but intellectually dishonest documentary that mounts an argument for so-called "intelligent design."

from the Arizona Republic:

...Stein, a Nixon administration functionary who re-invented himself as a movie and TV buffoon after "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," seems closer to his latter persona in this disingenuous and dishonest doc about something so silly you really wonder if he himself believes it. Or is the former host of "Win Ben Stein's Money" just trying to add to Ben Stein's money at the expense of the gullible? Perhaps that's why he's been so determined to keep his movie from anyone who might not automatically buy into its thesis, hiding it, in effect, from most members of the press.

from The Tennesseean:

Expelled is guilty of an array of logical fallacies, including ad hominem attacks on Dawkins and other scholars and hasty generalizations about the circumstances surrounding the "suppression" of ID-supporting scientists. Expelled relies on the bias that Americans usually demonstrate against intellectuals — specifically, that "egghead" scientists are geeky and weird and are not to be trusted because they are smart.

2. "not to be trusted because they are smart." Sounds like the Hillary attack strategy on Obama.
Anti-intellectualism is inherently self-destructive to a vibrant society. If anything society could benefit from use a heavy dose of anti-stupidity prejudice.

3. It's really ironic
Lots of anti-intellectual people revere the founders of the nation, without stopping to think that most of them were the intellectual elite of the day. Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, James Monroe, John Adams... the list of intellectuals of that day goes on and on.

11. I Beg Your Pardon!
I am not stupid. I'm exceptionally bright and have multiple graduate degrees in three different fields. A comment like yours would appear to actually be proving its own opposite.
