Body found of entrant who died in mother's arms in desert last week

Officials have found the body of a 21-year-old illegal immigrant who died in her mother's arms Tuesday night west of Nogales.
Shortly after 1 p.m. Friday, a U.S. Border Patrol agent patrolling in all terrain vehicle found the body of Mayra Pacheco-Arevalos, of Michoacan, Mexico, said Mario Escalante, a Border Patrol Tucson Sector spokesman.
She was found about two miles west of Nogales in the Bayatosa Canyon six miles north of the international border, he said. Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies and Border Patrol agents had been searching for Pacheco-Arevalos since Wednesday afternoon.

Probably wouldn't have happened if she was coming in through a manned border crossing station, the way people cross borders in most of the rest of the world.

But at least she was identified. I work with an online group that tries to match John/Jane Does with missing persons.
You would not believe the number of unidentified deceased Hispanics found every year in this country.

Very sad.
