Gas went up 22 cents/gal in the last 5 days
The other day I went in the building came out an hour later and the price was 6 cents higher at the station across the street. The next day at the same station another 3 cent increase.

It's now a full 22 cents higher than it was 5 days ago. Of course that might change by the end of the day.

1. i was at the local convenience store grabbing some beers for the beach..
with a couple of pals....the one who stayed outside was telling all the people who were pulling up to get gas '...you better hurry up...they are getting ready to raise the price in about 5 minutes...'

EVERYBODY getting gas started FILLING THEIR TANKS....

maybe he should market 'hawkers' to all the gas outlets...

2. Yes. This is positively surreal.
And near half this country will still support a McBush *3rd term.*

5. I am not making a joke or anything about personal income...
but it still blows my mind to see these people in beat up cars with Bush 04 stickers on it. I was pumping gas next to this very thing. A Beat up car pulls in with the "W" on the back. He gets out and sure enough Limbaugh is playing on the radio.

I just don't understand how they can't add all this up:(

3. We're paying $4.00 here in NorCal for regular ($3.999)
This is at name brand stations like, Shell, Mobil, Texaco. You can still get $3.92 at some off-brand stations

7. It will continue to do so...
Until November, at the earliest. I think a price-drop "October Surprise" is wishful thinking. The oil companies, hedge funds and commodities markets know that the lay of the political landscape is about to change drastically for them and they are going to squeeze as much as they can squeeze out of us until it does.

One thing to check would be the present rate that oil is being diverted to the Strategic Reserve. The Strategic Oil Reserve has been used for the entire tenure of this maladministration to manipulate prices in an upward trajectory and to funnel money into The Koch Brothers, who administer the SOR. One of the Koch Brothers is married to Doro Bush.
