How do you think Richard Belzer has done as a guest host on "Air America"?

I've enjoyed listening to him. I think they should offer him his own show.

1. I like him...he's calm and very thought-provoking

and you know he can turn it on at any time and be as funny as he wants.

2. the best part is all the guests who call in.

Bill Mahar, Sarah Silverman, Lewis Black. It's been great listening to all of them rather than Randi ranting for three hours and constantly interrupting any guests she had on. I stopped listening to her about a year ago.

3. Too Showbiz-oriented for me.

I love comedians, and AAR has made a grave mistake getting rid of most of their funny, but I don't really care for all the showbiz stuff.

With many of his guests, the talk centered around gigs they were doing, and how their families were doing.

Friday, Lewis Black was on for an hour and it was fun, except that Black isn't as well-informed as I expected - he thinks McCain is a great guy, for instance.

I can get that on cable teevee.

Belzer was also tremendously self-promoting during the week.

4. I enjoyed his style

He seemed to take to the format easily. He knew when the keep a caller on and when to say thanks and move on to the next. He was smooth.

I'm also enjoying Joy B. right now, too. Katrina Vandenhueval is visiting with her. It's nice to hear Katrina without her having to battle for time on the air with 3 other guests.
