We need a Senate with a progressive Democratic majority
to go along with our Democratic President, whoever that may be.

So, if you are in the contributing mood, but don't want to spend it on presidential campaign commercials, why not sent it to Senator Russ Feingold's Progressive Patriot's Fund:

You can even nominate who you would like to be a candidate to receive money from the fund. Then you get to vote on it! The candidates he helps are running for various offices around the country, but if he's backing them, you can be sure they're progressive.

2. Yes yes!
I don't like either of the remaining candidates, and have been sending money to progressives in House races, but you've made a great point about the Senate. Kicking.

if we get another Bill Clinton type who turns conservative.

5. Good! The GOP are pulling something similar in CA...
...they have the Republican Youth helping out, too.

6. Even if you don't have the money to donate
You can help congressional candidates in your district by volunteering, passing out flyers, writing letters to the editor, putting up a lawn sign...

7. That peace candidate site you reference really sucks.
They are so picky about who qualifies that no reasonable person is a peace candidate. You have to withdraw 100% of the troops instantaneously, which is not going to be done by anyone, so it is a meaningless thing to say.

9. I looked at some candidates' websites and found it not picky enough....
it includes some very good candidates, but also Ron Paul, and some very right-wing Republicans running against Dem incumbents, notably a RW freak called Lawson in North Carolina.

I did leave a comment about it on the message-board.

10. Its not about left or right
Kind of strange. The people they end up endorsing have nothing in common with each other except that they support immediate and total withdrawal of the troops.
