The ABC debate debacle requires us to take action now.
Writing ABC nasty emails is good to a point. But we need to write our Congress-critters and demand action now.
this is what I am sending my Congress-critters:

The debacle of the ABC debate has made it crystal clear that the major networks are working as an arm of the Republican National Committee. This is outrageous and needs immediate action. They are using public airwaves and need to be heavily regulated. How can freedom exist when the rich corporatists can control what we hear and see over our public airwaves. It is essential for the reestablishment of freedom in this country to have strong regulations as to who can own media companies and what they can broadcast. You can not say we have freedom of speech when only the rich can speak.

Please develop and pass legislation that will end the propaganda of the corporate media.

1. Newsflash
They have been working for the RNC for quite a long time. I haven't watched ABC since the 911 propaganda movie.
Funny that people are only up in arms when THEIR favorite Democrat is in the hot seat.

5. I've been in up in arms for quite some time over ABC
its just amusing to watch everyone else open their eyes and even more amusing when you look at the reason WHY.

8. I wrote them around 9/15/01 thanking them and Peter Jennings for their coverage
They were the first station that quit showing the videos over and over and over and over and over and Peter Jennings was stumbling around saying "I don't know why we are here, still broadcasting. Maybe to sort of circle the wagons and make sense of what is going on." Not the exact words of course, but the gist of what he was saying.

I really appreciated that, got really tired of watching planes and buildings collapsing repetitively and "omg"ing over and over.

Forward to after his death, when the 9/11 movie came out and blech. I've written them several times in the last 5 yrs, usually including the words "shame on you" rather than "thank you".

4. Can you write a response with out trying to stir up schite between Democrats.
I also haven't watched ABC but think that maybe this is the time to take action. Why do you have to make it partisan.

7. I took action long ago.
I turned them off.
I have written to their advertisers.
Long ago.
I'm not the one who made this "partisan"...it is the reaction of the obama supporters that is so amusing.

9. So this isn't partisan? "Funny that people are only up in arms when THEIR favorite Democrat is in
the hot seat".?

First of all ABC spent most of their time attacking Obama. The corporatist media seem to favor Sen Clinton and McBush. I would object no matter which candidate they attacked. Wish the Clinton supporter would say the same.

Second, this is a battle between the party elitist DLC and the party grass-roots activists, and Sen Clinton's attack on moveon.org showed which side she is on. I am on the side against the power elitists in the party, the ones that are sponsored by the same corporations that own the republicans.

11. Total bullshit.
I have watched the corporate media ATTACK Clinton mercilessly and watch them give obama a pass from the beginning. Most likely because the obama supporters would start yelling "racist"...just as they have done to ANYONE who dared say they didn't support him.
ABC is the FIRST one that has outright attacked obama...and while it was wrong, they have been attacking OTHER Democrats for quite some time...it was just HIS turn in the hotseat.
Secondly, I am on the side of the average person and I don't think EITHER candidate represents me. There is quite a large number of us out there. Underestimate THOSE numbers at your own peril.
I really don't care that obama doesn't openly endorse the DLC...his actions speak louder than words and he is just as "owned" as any of the other party elite (using your word "owned" here).
Just as I have quit watching ABC or ANY other network that OPENLY supports ANY candidate or ANY party...I have stopped my memberships in ANY organization (such as moveon) who are intent on pushing their views on me.
Don't kid yourself about ALL of the grass roots supporting obama. It isn't the entire truth.

13. The ABC debate was no different than most previous debates...
Difference this time being the airheaded 'gotcha' questions were aimed at Obama, instead of Hillary. No amount of crying will change the way the corporate media does business.
