Will it create hardships, particularly for lower income people. Damn straight. But,ever been to Europe? Ever buy gas there? Its been over $5 bucks in many european countries off and on for years. And yes, I know that driving patterns and usage are different there. But food still gets trucked from the farms to the stores, merchandise still gets from place to place. No need to play chicken little.
