The Candidates: How will they look in four years?
A trip through the Pop Photo Time Machine.

By The Editors
April 2008

The Presidency really takes its toll; just look at how George Bush has aged. To see how the current candidates would fare after a term in the Oval Office, we put them through the Pop Photo Time Machine. See our Photoshopped before and afters of Hillary Clinton, John McCain, and Barack Obama.

Mouse-over any of the images to see how the candidates may look in 2012.

Aging takes time, even when you make it happen artificially with software. Each candidate took about four hours of retouching. To mimic the ravages of time, we did the following:

- Used the Burn and Dodge tools to deepen wrinkles and paint in age spots.
- Cloned the eyebrows and moved them lower.
- Used the Liquify filter to hollow out cheeks, make jowls, thin out lips, and enlarge ears and noses.
- For Clinton and Obama, brought in forehead wrinkles from separate photos and used the Match Color tool to blend them in.
- For Obama, painted in gray hair on top of his current hair; for Clinton, desaturated with the Sponge tool to make her grayer.

2. Get a grip; they're only pics, no policy was discussed. And
I take concern for the country as a given.

The Corporate-owned media sure are playing their parts very well.

8. Actually, I think Bush has aged probably the least of any President in recent memory.
That's what happens when you spend more time on vacation then any other President. And go to bed at 9:30p. And spend more time exercising than taking care of the countries problems. And having no conscience, that helps immensely.

10. Nope he is only pickled
replinishing that pickling sauce daily. He gets up to a bottle and passes out with it still clutched in his hands most days. In comparison destroying something such as he is doing to our country is nothing like saving it would be. He is a slacker and always was and always will be. Just look at the ole battle axe for a clue as to what he'll look like when behind bars

9. Aged Obama kinda looks like a younger Ed Bradley
it took me a while to warm up to Obama's looks, tall and thin like me and with those big assed ears looking like a taxi cab with all the doors thrown wide open;-) but now I see him as a very good Patriot with a strong love of our country and Constitution. That makes him like a god to me as I have no other gods. He, like me, is color blind

Yep our first Black President and he is nothing but a class act, oh and it will be hard for anyone to follow in his footsteps. America in 2008 could not do any better. He gives me the same hope that Bill Clinton gave me way back in '92
