Care to walk El Camino del Rey?
Edited on Tue Apr-22-08 11:21 AM by eleny
"Originally built in 1901, this walkway now serves as an approach to makinodromo, the famous climbing sector of El Chorro."

It's in Spain.

Video of a long walk here ---> http://www.brightcove.tv/title.jsp?title=1438490562

Made my palms sweat.

2. Yeah, especially those hair raising areas with just the rails
I also like watching his shadow roll up the steps like water.

Interesting that everyone he passed along the way was alone.

3. Watching him place his feet along a 3" beam to get past large areas
of non-existent walkway--yow.

4. that's when my palms began to sweat
i've driven over independence pass here in colorado many times. it's winding and narrow and there are curving stretches with guard rails that are very old. just low, short lengths of concrete to let you know where the edge is. but watching his shoes in this video was absolutely hair raising.

8. I've been wondering that myself
Looking at his shadow I don't see evidence of a camera worn on his head. And the camera work is so smooth.

10. Boy, that was really neat.
I just happened to have been listening to Ennio Morricone's "Ecstasy of Gold" on my I-pod and it worked perfectly.

18. I'm that way, too
At first I thought it was scary enough because upon walking down you would always see the ravine or canyon floor way below. But then he walked those rails with no place to hold onto. Oh noes!

Like my DH commented - how did they build it?!
