Why are they meeting in New Orleans of all places???
NEW ORLEANS - President Bush, replying to criticism from Democratic presidential candidates, said Tuesday that "now is not the time to renegotiate ... or walk away from" the North American Free Trade Agreement. He also denied the U.S. was in a recession, calling it a slowdown instead.

Bush also used a joint news conference with Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper to renew his call for Congress to pass a free-trade pact with Colombia. He said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's refusal to schedule a vote could effectively kill it this year.

George Bush strains to listen to the voice of sanity.

5. I believe the meeting was scheduled over 2 years ago, and...
...their notion was that "New Orleans in 2008" would serve
as a shining example of how private businesses do a
better job than government does.

In their delusional libertarian pipe-dreams, they expected
that the private sector would have rebuilt NO into a
gleaming capitalist wonderland by now.

In the real world, that worked as well as most RW ideas do.
Obviously. :eyes:

7. To gloat?
There are people living under the highway overpasses, and the lower 9th ward is still a disaster area. I've read reports that 1 out of 3 NO residents are homeless. I guess things are proceeding according to bushitler's plans.
