If you were on national TV, what questions would you ask?
Imagine YOU were on national TV and you had the chance to ask a politician of your choice some questions.

Who would you ask and what would you ask? (Remember: Stay polite and stick to facts.)

"Senator McCain, what do you say about the accusations, that those who want to end the Iraq-war as quickly as possible don't support the troops?"
"Did you support the troops when you voted against several budget increases for the bureau of veteran affairs?"

"Senator McCain. Given President Bush's faible for tax cuts for the rich, the historically colossal national debt and the current problems of the economy, could you please explain to the audience why tax cuts for the rich are good for the economy?"

"President Bush. During all those political debates about who is going to be republican candidate in the next election, none of the contenders prided himself in continuing your politics and ideals. All in all, you were barely even mentioned. Why do you think that is?"

1. If it were McCain
I would look for something to spark his little temper. Nothing would be more productive than to get him to blow his top on national TV before November.

Something about his connection to lobbyist maybe.

3. To Senator Obama three questions:
With the citizens of our torn world watching in both fear and hope this upcoming election, what would you like to say to those citizens regarding how America will influence their lives under an Obama Presidency?

Will you hold investigations into the crimes committed under the bush administration and will you allow for an international tribunal to partake fully in those proceedings?

What sort of aid will an Obama Administration render to the refugee crises going in the Middle East?

What action are you going to take to help those who have lost there homes as part of the sub-prime mortgage crisis? How are you going to help those who have had their entire life account savings wiped out of their current account because of the problem.

7. Welcome to the DU cat1985
I am honored that you mistakenly responded to me rather than the OP for your first post. I can't say that I have ever had such an honor.

All silliness by me aside, you do have a fair question for Senator Obama or Senator Clinton though, one far too many citizens of America have a damned good reason to be asking. the bfee, (bush family evil empire), has done serious damage to America's middle class. Seeing as how America's middle class represents the majority of Americans, most of America is suffering! I suspect it fuels the great surge of new voters backing the Democrats these days.

When I was coming up with my response to the OP on what to ask, I was overwhelmed with daunting task. SOOOOO many problems need urgent attention! The bush administration has done a fine job of wrecking pretty much everything good on this little world of ours. There will indeed be much to be fixed when those criminals are gone from office.

I customarily welcome new members to the DU with one of these: :toast: to you cat1985

8. my questions would be the following:
to McCain, You pledge yourself as a "war hero" how can you stand by that, if you do not support the GI Bill?

to Hillary: Are you in favor of pre-emptive assaults on countries that do not threaten our security here in the US?

to Obama: What would be your first official duty when you enter the Presidency?
