Please contribute to the Help Tony Blair Pay His Rail Fare Fund
(LM: Please contribute to the Help Tony Blair Pay His Rail Fare Fund. All contributions will go directly into my savings account…no—that’s wrong—I meant to say that all contributions will be used to pay Tony Blair’s rail fares…just send the cash...)

Blair 'caught riding without a ticket'

Former prime minister Tony Blair was left red-faced when he was caught travelling on a train without a ticket and said he had no cash to pay the fare, a report said on Wednesday.

Blair, who has earned around 500,000 pounds on the speaking circuit since leaving office in June, was confronted by a ticket inspector as he travelled to Heathrow airport to catch a flight to the United States on Monday, the Daily Mail newspaper reported.

He said he had no cash for the 24.50 pounds fare because money an aide had given him was no longer in his pocket.

Blair's spokesman was unavailable for comment.

2. Like his wife, you mean?
The family seems to make a habit of this:

CHERIE BLAIR'S first day sitting as a recorder yesterday began with her paying a £10 penalty charge for travelling on a train without a ticket.

Mrs Blair had boarded a train at Blackfriars station, London, without a ticket for her journey to Luton. When she reached the underground style barriers at Luton she told the ticket collector she did not have a ticket and had to pay a £10 penalty and £9.70 return fare.

You'd think he'd have learnt a lesson from that. No, hang on, rules apply to the little people, not the Blairs.

Tony Blair - the former Prime Minister of the UK - riding a train to the airport?
Can you imagine Bush riding public transportation - ever?

I think rather than making him look bad the article makes him look admirable, imo.
