Why is Burger King making such stupid & violent commercials?
I remember a while back that there was fuss here about the soccer moms plotting to kill the King because of the patty melts..

Tonight I saw 2 different commercials:

One has a driver in a drive thru lane ramming the car ahead of him and pushing it forward so he could get up to the window and get his Steakhouse Burger..

The other has a guy flying into the parking lot and rolling out of the car at the door, tumbling across the pavement and hitting the glass, while his car remains rolling forward, smashing into a parked car..

I don't know who came up with these ideas, but they'd make me want to stay away from BK to avoid a bunch of crazy fuckers....

Now I remember why I quit watching TV for a while... stupid freakin' commercials....

9. And does he ever KNOCK ??? fuckinghell
Where did he learn his manners? Castle Interruptus? People could be doing anything in what they think is the privacy of their own homes -and suddenly here comes smilin' King Home Invader with his papier mache head and constipating food. No knock, no warrant, no Gee I'm sorry to interrupt nervous patter of excuses for sneaking into your place like a drunk coming home to wrong house. He's going to wind up getting stuffed through a plate glass door doing that some day.

Is it possible to join in a class action suit for a restraining order?

10. A lot of advertising
is just plain sick lately.
Many have wives ridiculing their husbands horribly - HR Block and a breakfast cereal come to mind.

Also - it is any wonder this country is so fat - constant food commercials showing close-ups of greasy junk food. I bet after a few minutes, a percentage of viewers get up from the chair and head into the kitchen for a snack, without realizing the trigger.

14. It's not half as bad as what the Mars Company did during the Superbowl last year in a Snickers ad...
While what aired on tv was bad enough, the online alternate versions were worse.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snickers#Super_Bowl_XLI_commercial_controversy

I've always said that if the roles were different, if the ad had been done with them obliviously walking into a synagogue and horrified by it, they start doing un-Jewish things, the Mars Company would've had its ass handed to it for months by a broad spectrum of people. But since the ad centered on bashing the icky, fucking faggots well then that's ok. Hell, have a Snickers bar while you're doing it, it's all just good-mannered fun.

21. It's because they're selling 'swill...' non-food..
and those appalling ads distract attention from the
dreadful product they are shilling...

Fast food as we know it today, is past its prime as
an effective marketing phenomena.

The public has been educated as to the quality of the
'food' products, their ghastly production and processing,
and their detrimenal effect on our health.

Sure they have a market niche, but do not contribute to
the well being of humankind.

The growing trend in 'fast food'? The rise in 'prepare your
own dinners'... places that offer customer all the healthy
ingredients of meal preparation... you go in, make your own
'meals' to be cooked at home. Expensive, yes. But more healthy,
because the customer has the choice to use low fat, and healthy
ingredients.

My dream for fast 'food?' A chain of 'Vege-terias' where customers
can find a buffet of fresh veggies to be eaten raw, or cooked to
taste, supplemented by high quality plant protein, fresh fruits,
smoothies, fair trade coffees and teas..With the option to take
ingredients home to prepare for family. But this isn't sexy,
and probably would never appeal to the mass markets.

26. Meanwhile, in real life,
Carhop at drive-in abducted

Four people in a car briefly abducted a woman at a Sonic drive-in restaurant Wednesday evening, and an attempted abduction was reported later at another drive-in.

The first incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. at the Sonic at 5440 Merriam Drive, Merriam police Cpl. Troy Duvanel said.

One of the suspects ordered food, and when the teenage carhop came out to deliver the order, the suspects displayed a weapon and pulled her into the backseat of the car, he said.

They took her money and dropped her off about 10 blocks away at County Line and Antioch roads, Duvanel said. She was not injured.

About an hour later, Kansas City, Kan., police responded to a call on an attempted abduction at another Sonic restaurant in Kansas City, Kan.

I actually had one last week, and it was pretty good.

But I haven't seen any of the commercials. I don't watch much TV anymore. I don't have cable and I work nights, so it's off in the daytime (no soaps, please) and on the weekend I have my kid, so usually I just watch "Cops" and "SNL".

I have NetFlix, though.
