that hair doo the Polygamist women have is something else |
|
how do they do it? do they use rats? (hair things called rats. a 1940s thing)
have you ever seen this hair doo any place else? I haven't.
did Jeff's dream it up? Is it a holy hair doo? most religiously insane men want women's hair covered.
sorry, but their hair doo intrigues me.

9. it's so 1985. . . french braid, pre-padded shoulder flair. It says "Laura Ashley!" |
|
I think they aren't allowed to cut their hair, but I don't think the mainstream Mormons are into the hair covering. They want to look as late 19th century as possible. It's a more extreme form of LDS stuff.
I assume they do the whole holy garments thing too--the Mormon underwear they're supposed to wear at all times, including during what they call sex. I have a male friend who's a recovering Mormon, and I have a newfound awe of how sexually shaming even the regular Mormons are to the boys too. As part of leaving the sect, he cut up his "garments" into little pieces and buried them.

15. Somewhere through the densities of laws.. there is a something in there |
|
that says a social security card cannot "count" you.. it will keep you from receiving s.s. benefits later on in life (I'm assuming they don't really care about that if they are getting all kinds of revenue from Pentagon contracts and welfare/ wic programs. Not sure about birth cert... although I'm rather certain that they do not have to have one either to recieve benefits. If they were not born in a hospital, who would write them.. most likely they are put in a bible or family tree papers like they did in the olden days..

19. so I'm still whipping this subject - can any hair stylists out there tell me |
|
how in the hell they get that hair doo? I have very long hair and can't see how I could do it without help?
and I think it is important to know who came up with the design and on whose head was it practiced on first? Names. etc.
is it done every day or once a week? washing it?
no I haven't gone over the edge. the personal is political.

24. maybe you pin the rat on, comb hair over rat and pin, divide hair into 2 |
|
hunks, braid each one, twist them upward and pin inside rat oval.
oh gosh, I can relax, solved my own question.
but not the answer to WHO wanted the hair this way.
