Problems with Republican Election Judge at Local Polling Place |
|
Even as a registered voter, I may have trouble getting my vote in this November. Every time I go to vote at my polling place, no matter what election it is, I always have to check in with this Republican election judge (the only Pub on the panel). I give him my name, he always tries to stop me from getting to a booth: He either shakes his head no when I give him the "wrong" answer to the question "Where do you live?", or says my signature doesn't match the one on the records (I can never remember if I'm supposed to include my middle initial or not).
Should I contact my local election board about this guy??

2. Yes. Yes you should. If there's trouble in Nov, it's good to raise the issue beforehand. |

Send them a letter by registered mail that gives you proof that they received it, and may get more attention than a plain letter.

3. Definitely contact the local election board. |

If you live in a suburb or a city make sure you include the township and precinct. What does he consider a wrong answer to where you live? I'm sure you know your own address.
