Ohio University to Rename Newsroom for FOX News' Roger Ailes
Edited on Fri Apr-25-08 07:58 AM by Botany
My alma mater, Ohio U. aka Harvard on the Hocking sells out ....
one of the best journalism schools in the country is now a whore.
Roger Ailes is to real news as what Hitler was to being a good neighbor.
I wonder how much he paid O.U.? What is next the Leni Riefenstahl
school of film?

Tuesday, April 22, 2008

ATHENS, Ohio — FOX News boss Roger Ailes will return to Ohio University later Tuesday for a ceremony rededicating the student radio and TV newsroom in his honor.

Last fall, Ailes donated an undisclosed amount of money so his alma mater could expand and upgrade what will be called the Roger E. Ailes Newsroom. It is used by the university's WOUB radio station and by journalism students who produce daily news programs for cable TV.

The rededication ceremony is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

Ailes majored in radio and television at OU and was WOUB's student station manager for two years before graduating in 1962. He's now the chairman and chief executive of FOX News.

his bio

Worked as a media consultant to the Richard M. Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George H.W. Bush presidential campaigns. "The only question is whether we depict Willie Horton with a knife in his hand or without it."

"There are four things the media are interested in. They're interested in polls, they're interested in pictures, they're interested in mistakes, and they're interested in attacks."

"I don't ignore anything. Somebody gets in my face, I get in their face."

2. I wonder if they even bother with "News Ethics" classes anymore.
It would seem rather ironic to discuss ethics after taking money from that scumbag.

14. Agreed... hope they greet him appropriately
That isn't the O.U. that I knew. He would have gotten a "College" greeting. Hope there are still some people there that think independently. The school must be hard up for bucks.. they have their nose firmly implanted up the right wing's anal cavity.

16. Sheeit. Packer was more honorable...
The popular story says Packer's judge said to him, "Damn you, Packer! There were seven Dimmycrats in Hinsdale County and you've et five of them!" Which isn't what the judge really said...but it's more entertaining this way.

I figure that if a Republican is going to kill you in the public's eye, being eaten by him is better than the slow, drawn-out way the Pukes of today do it.

Yes, that is enough to gag-a-maggot! The Roger Ailes Newsroom ROFLMAO.....

How about the Matt Lauer Lecture Hall.. as seen on NBC-TV? You know, Matt Lauer, that Sleeze-Ball know-nothing network suck-up who agreed with Rush Lintball in saying that Michael J. Fox was faking his Parkinson's Disease. Ah..compassionate Conservatism.

13. Miami of Ohio also sells out by honoring Moonie operative Bill Sammon
I did my undergraduate work at another state university in Ohio: Miami Univerity (for non-Ohioians, there's a rivalry between Ohi U. and Miami U.). I wrote on by Sun Myung Moon blog about how Miami University's leadership program honored discredited journalist and former Moon operative Bill Sammon: http://realsunmyungmoon.blogspot.com/
