WTF is Bush doing - IMPEACH NOW
As if Iraq wasn't enough, as if this latest saber-rattling against Iran wasn't enough, now we have Bush trying to provoke Syria and North Korea? Is this mother fucker out of his fucking gourd? Is he deliberately trying to start WWIII in the last days of his presidency, and then just hand it over to the next president to deal with?

IMPEACH NOW!

the UN is certainly not buying what the US is selling.

read here:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7366658.stm

just a snip of the article.

'Ridiculous allegations'

Syrian officials have denied any North Korean involvement in their country.

"These allegations are ridiculous," Syria's ambassador to the UK, Sami Khiyami, told the BBC.

"We are used to such allegations now, since the day the United States has invaded Iraq - you remember all the theatrical presentations concerning the WMDs in Iraq."

Mr Khiyami said the facility was a deserted military building that had "nothing to do with a reactor".

Syria is a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), which gives it the right to enrich its own fuel for civil nuclear power, under inspection from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

North Korea has previously denied transferring nuclear technology to Syria.

8. alot of distractions, when there is so many things going under the radar
of regular US citizens. Very dangerous situation when the citizens of the US do not what's happening around them.

remember Petreaus is being tapped to head up CENTCOM. this is not good.

and remain in power.

He doesn't care how many Millions of people he kills.

After the first one, it's easy. Kill one, kill a Billion. They can only hang you once.

30. Any energy elsewhere is literally wasted
Aside from being an enabling of torture and war crimes -- and a great help to the McCain campaign.

(Yes, really.)

9. He just wants to win something!
we should just authorize a war against Easter Island because they have massive, scary, obviously unX-stian totems pointed at us, let him fly over in an ultra light drop an M-80, declare victory and come home (but I hope to hell we don't contract Halliburton for the reconstruction, the statues might end up looking a little crazy)

13. It works like this, I suspect:
Bush is angry because Americans don't like him and because he has failed at everything he has tried to do (except deprive us of our rights and snoop on our lives). He shows his depression, frustration, impatience and anger to the people who work for him, especially in the White House. He is quick to criticize and blame those around him. One way to curry his favor is to think of things to do that he would like to do and that might (at least in his imagination and those of the people trying to curry his favor) improve his approval ratings and bring enough success to make the American people forget all his failures. Whatever it is, it has to be dramatic, something really big, something really amazing.

So, to cheer the poor fellow up, the people around him are thinking up and proposing fantastic schemes. This is how people react when they have caused a disaster but don't want to admit it even to themselves. It is the ultimate cover-up to oneself. One mistake leads to another, leads to another, and a lot of mistakes lead to just humongous mistakes. It's what makes gamblers on a losing streak bet everything they own to try just that last time. It's a survival mechanism.

The crew in the White House has never been more dangerous. Congress needs to be on the alert. Unfortunately, the entire House is getting into election mode. We live in dangerous times.

21. WWIII- an excuse for martial law ?? If that happens there won't be anything left to 'martial'
That's what makes this scenario so insane. If Bush nukes ANYONE.. the 2008 elections will be the least of our concerns ( those of us who have managed to stay alive, that is) I never EVER thought my country would be considering a preemptive nuclear attack on anyone.

Will this nightmare ever be over?

... for collecting revenue in the aftermath of a nuclear war and the subsequent breakdown of industrial society.

Sanity and reason fled DC long ago.
