5. Rich Americans Hoarding Years' Supply of Rice is Distugsting (yet condoned here).
What don't people get when they read the news and hear people are starving and rioting. People are dying over rice accross the world. So we think its a good idea to head to Costco and buy a year supply of rice that we will never eat? WTF? If you aren't part of the solution, in this case, you are sure as hell part of the problem. How the hell is anyone going to solve this supply/distribution problem when demand spikes in a region not even yet hit by a crippling and devastating shortage? Its a bit selfish, from my perspective.

11. It depends on how much this works
At this point I doubt that supply is being diverted here.

But I think the shortage was caused by speculation to begin with due to the bad harvests, and the fact that capital needed a "reliable" place to flow. Capitalism is fine and good except where it interferes with food, health, and shelter. Socialist Capitalism says that those things should be seperate from Capital Markets.

The Media hacks are just looking for something to report on I think... but what do I know
