A question about the Drudgereport |
|
Matt Drudge is a hack and a republican shill -- there's really no question about that. However, his web site is an interesting place to go get news snippets. Going there is like eating food thats bad for you.....you feel bad, and you know its not good for you, but you go there anyway. (just speaking for me of course)
I'm curious....how many go there? How many refuse? Who else is willing to fess up? :)

it's been years since I've gone there. I don't want him to be able to drive up his ad rates with a click from my mouse.

I don't like his version of the news, nor do I want to give him ad revenue. Add to that the blindingly-horrible page design, and I have no reason to go there.

There are often interesting stories that he posts, non political ones. Also a good place for updates on breaking stories.
He will break bad news for the Repukes too if he has the scoop. I think he is more about himself than right versus left.

Not interested in anything he has to say. I used to listen to a radio station, but they started to use Drudge as source. I no longer listen to the station.

10. For all the prostestations on DU of "I never go there' |
|
All you have to do is look at the curious overlap between the threads in LBN and the stories on Drudge. It's pretty clear that Drudge is a popular site amongst DUers. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, and in fact I sometimes don't see how he's a shill - many of the stories about Repub perverts appeared pretty extensively on Drudge, too.

If he's copying anything legitimate from other sources, I'll get it direct from those sources.
