So we went into Iraq to Free the Oil?
Then WTF is this? I just paid $3.70 a gallon today. Here is the sign from the gas station. South Central PA -- near Norristown.

Timmy Russert and the other media accomplices and whores were helping Cheney and his minions spread the between the lines message that if we just invaded Iraq we would forever be saved from the $1.53 a gallon we were paying at the time.

8. Just think how much it would be costing if we HADN'T invaded Iraq.
Does anyone EVER think of that? Noooooo, just complaining about how much gas and food and heat is costing and NEVER any gratitude for all the attacks that haven't happened all the price raising that hasn't happened all the bad stuff that hasn't happened just bitch and moan about how bad things are.

Maybe they went there to take the oil, so they could sell it to you at $4 a gallon.

14. No, no, no...
We had to invade because their evil dictator had gassed his own people.

Or he had WMDs that nobody could find but, since the Bushies had the invoices, they knew they had to be there somewhere.

Or it was the free candy and flowers the troops can't afford on their miserable salaries.

Or it was the well documented fact that the next sign that Saddam had WMDs could come in the form of a mushroom cloud.

Or because the impossible alliance between Saddam and bin Laden had produced something called AL QAEDA IN EYE-RACK.

But it's never been about the oil. It's never been about projecting US power into the region and building forward bases to attack the rest of the Middle East -- but not for their oil...

So the thing is we have to fight them over there because otherwise we'll have to fight them over here. And you know that would be a tough thing to work into peoples' schedules, what with longer work days and non-stop meetings and conference calls and then the kids and MUST SEE TEEVEE and wifey wants some attention too. So it's just too damn hard to find time to fight them over here.

So yeah, it's Hurd Wurk, as the Codpiece in Chief likes to say about his virtual job, particularly when he's busy cutting brush on the sound stage/pig farm.

Might be dangerous, too, rotten thugs that they are.

So that's all you need to know, and it's never been about the oil so stop all that cynical crap and get down to the pumps and spend for the greater profitability of ExxonMobil, for theirs is the kingdom, the power and the glory...
