Anyone know if there was recent senate action regarding undocumented immigrants |
|
and social security? Just received a chain email asking for signatures on petition to WH to veto, if passed, a bill that extends social security to undocumented immigrants.
The only bill I'm aware of was discussed in 2006 and it talked about giving some benefits to those who earned social security while undocumented but later became citizens. So I think the petition is misleading but also 2 years old.
Anyone?

1. Here's the senate recent vote list - a few immigration in March |
|
unless it's buried in something else, or older, or not voted on yet? http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/vote_menu_110_2.htmWhich Senate committee covers immigration?

That sounds an awful lot like an email that went around a year or so ago. It was false.

3. I think it is the same fake crap that came up in 2006. Old and false. I will |
|
respond to the person who sent it to me and signed it without reading up.
