Re: "U.S. Weighing Readiness for Military Action Against Iran."
From
http://www.saneramblings.comThis morning The Washington Post headlined, "U.S. Weighing Readiness for Military Action Against Iran." In the article, Adm. Michael Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff outlined the U.S. military's preparedness to attack Iran.
This is in addition to a speech given Monday by Defense Secretary Robert Gates in which Mr. Gates claimed Iran "is hell-bent on acquiring nuclear weapons." He called an Iran war "disastrous" but said, "the military option must be kept on the table given the destabilizing policies of the regime and the risks inherent in a future Iranian nuclear threat."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/25/AR2008042501480_pf.html Mr. Gates didn't clarify which regime has the "destabilizing polices." Maybe we can help him. Iran didn't invade, occupy and destabilize (destroy) Iraq. The U.S. did.
Iran doesn't have a massive nuclear arsenal, the U.S. does and is prepared to use it apparently in the name of peace. Iran has no nuclear weapons and its 70-million men, women and children face instant annihilation from the Pentagon.
My nation the United States is by far the biggest maker of violence against the world. If you are an American, please join me in speaking up for a peaceful resolution of issues and for compassion for mankind before the murderous regime of George W. Bush rains more hellfire down on earth. Your voice matters, please use it!
