Oil and gas supplies threatened in UK

Oil and natural gas from the North Sea may be closed off due to a strike at the Grangemouth refinery in Scotland.

The strike over pensions is expected to threaten the processing of 70 North Sea oil and gas fields.

Production on several drilling rigs has already been reduced.

Meanwhile, throughout Scotland and the north of England, people are beginning to stockpile supplies of fuel due to fear of shortages.
