Odd, that anyone could connect the two. Here is how. Why did Napoleon sell Louisiana ? He needed money for his war? That sale to the U.S. made the U.S.A. Eventually, the Napoleonic Wars, hurt France in ways that that changed the course of history and France's ability to dominate the European scene.
..Our participation in the Iraq War is doing the same thing. Not only is the cost unbelievable, but our position in the world is being eroded in a way that we cannot know. And as with France, it is not only economic, but our political standing is being destroyed too. Consistent lies to support a war that is basically wrong, will destroy the moral standing of any nation.
