About the "National Constitution Center" ... (WTF!)
So, my sister-in-law takes me there in Philly and what do I discover???

1. In all the obsessive displays about the constitution, there's NOTHING on the 2000 election.
2. There is a big-screen video of none other than Ben Stein explaining the constitution.
3. A gift shop where the main table at the entrance is graced with books not by founding fathers, but by Glen Beck, Jonah Goldberg (and Valerie Plame, but she was on a lower shelf).

all hail Dumbfuckistan

1. How infuriating, that a Bush (any Bush) is chairman of the National Constitution Center.

National Constitution Center Board of Trustees

NATIONAL HONORARY COMMITTEE
Mrs. George H.W. Bush
President & Mrs. Jimmy Carter
President William J. Clinton &
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton
Mrs. Gerald R. Ford

CHAIRMAN
President George H.W. Bush

2. That explains the prevalence of Barbara Bush books
instead of Lincoln, Adams, etc. Really, the place is a total sham.
I was surprised there wasn't a statue of Bush and a video of Smerconish.
Do not go there.

3. I don't plan on going. I'm surprised, though, that the Clintons didn't have any of their books
there, or Carter, since they're also on the Board.

Glenn Beck???!! Sheeesh.

6. odd: the online bookstore is heavily oriented to the Founding Fathers
In fact, the online bookstore doesn't offer any books by beck, goldberg, plame etc.

And the Constitutional timeline, which I thought I saw at the museum, at least online discusses Bush v. Gore. http://www.constitutioncenter.org/timeline/html/cw13_12340.html
