House Judiciary to investigate Rove’s alleged effort to get Fitzgerald fired.»

In the corruption trial of Chicago political fundraiser Antoin “Tony” Rezko last week, a federal witness alleged that “Rezko discussed efforts among top Republicans, including former White House political director Karl Rove and GOP national committeeman Robert Kjellander,” to have U.S. attorney Patrick Fitzgerald “fired to derail a corruption probe.” Now, according to Newsweek, the House Judiciary Committee “intends to investigate the facts and circumstances alleged in this testimony.”

3. In related news, water is wet
Hey Judiciary Committee, those of us who've been paying attention for the last several YEARS already knew this happened.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of "investigation" they're able to mount when Mukasey will refuse to allow the subpoenas to be served on those the committee would like testimony from...

6. sure you want to post this Babylonsister..you do realize who this also implicates..
don't you find it interesting that none of the Obama networks have reported this yet?

this was all over some web sites last week..and the Obamabots were calling it lies...

so why would Rove try to protect Rezko..who does that work for?????????

ahhh yes... we know Rezko was one of the first problems Obama faced..now why would rove want to protect Obama??????????

$250,000 k is what THE LAST CLAIM WAS BY Obama THAT HE got from Rezko..and Rove was conspiring to remove Fitz right about the time Obama bought his house.

gee wiz...........

8. If Obama did anything wrong I would love to know about it
but you guys are grasping at straws here. There is nothing wrong or sinister about Obama's relationship with rezko.

9. fly, take it to GD/P. That's not why this was posted. And
IIRC, Obama hasn't been implicated in anything except in your mind. I don't think I even want to go there.

13. Congress FORFEITED their subpoena power
when they failed to issue INHERENT CONTEMPT citations for Miers and Bolton.

I remember when everyone was so happy about the Democrats taking over Congress, because, if nothing else, they'd have subpoena power. Too bad it didn't pan out so well.

14. I'm really hoping that Conyers and other D's are building
an ironclad case against the fascists, it isn't easy and it isn't going to happen soon. AND it may not happen at all. I recall Nancy Pelosi saying We don't have enough time for impeachment. And I think she's right. It's got to be ironclad. They can't leave any wiggle room. One time only shot at it.

15. More Likely To RE-Rail Their "Probe"
Set the Rezko/Obama bit aside.

This was Rove's former roomate, and a GOP accuser (sorry, former GOP -- uh, huh) targetting a Democratic Governer for bad headlines during a reelection campaign.

Sound familiar to anyone?
