I have a question for Pastor Hagee
Pastor Hagee, aka McCain's Millstone, has said on numerous occasions that Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for homosexuality.

If so, why did God spare the part of New Orleans where all the gay people live?

5. The Gay community
held a parade (albeit a much smaller then planned parade) days after Katrina left town. And lo and behold they have paraded ever since.

6. Because he can't read his own Bible

Ezek 16:49-50
"49 Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: pride, overabundance of food, prosperous ease, and idleness were hers and her daughters'; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. 50 And they were haughty and committed abominable offenses before Me; therefore I removed them when I saw it and I saw fit." AMP

The Strong's definition for the word used for "abomination" means "properly, something disgusting (morally), i.e. (as noun) an abhorrence; especially idolatry or (concretely) an idol."

Hagee is either a very poor Bible scholar or he is a man with a hateful and ignorant agenda that he cloaks in his faith. The sins of Sodom had nothing to do with homosexuality.

7. From what I've read of him he is an incredibly poor theologian

To say that God has destroyed someone or someplace due to sinfulness is to deny the Holy Spirit. It places one's sins (real or perceived) above God's forgiveness. All he has done is to place God in a box of his making, and limit the power of God.

9. I know that Hagee is one of the leaders in the

group of christians that promote Israel. I've always found it odd that these christians make no allowance for error by the nation of Israel and defend them without regard the the validity of their position. The vast majority of the Old Testament is full of admonitions against Israel because of their many errors.

I also presume that Hagee is part of the prosperity movement although my impression is that it is not his central focus.

Bad theology? Yes.

The real question is whether it is intentionally bad. I think some of these guys are hucksters that intentionally manipulate without regard to the quality of their theology.

10. New Orleans segregated all of its gay people in exactly one area?
How'd they do that?

12. It wasn't hard...
They just put all the things gay people like to do at night in the French Quarter, and the gays flocked to it.

Then God Fucked Up: before punishing New Orleans for the sin of homosexuality by dumping Katrina on her, He failed to notice that the French Quarter is high ground. Oops.
