"Gov. Mike Huckabee Had Me Fired Because I Held Hillary Clinton Sign At McCain Rally"

Arkansas Waitress: "Gov. Mike Huckabee Had Me Fired Because I Held Hillary Clinton Sign At McCain Rally"

"What happened to free speech in America?" Asked Micah Qualls.

A couple of days ago, Senator John McCain made a stop in Little Rock , Arkansas. He was greeted on the tarmac at the airport by Governor Mike Huckabee (a possible Vice Presidential candidate) and other Republican supporters. Micah Qualls, a waitress that worked at this airport, remembered that she had a "Hillary for President" sign in her car, and spent her break time holding her sign outside the fence where the Republican presidential nominee was landing his airplane.

According to Qualls, Governor Huckabee noticed that she was an employee of the airport, and raised questions with her boss about professionalism, and expressed embarrassment over the incident as the host of Mr. McCain.

Qualls says she was fired as a result of her expressing her First Amendment rights

"I have been at my job for 7 years, and I was fired today because of the 'embarrassment.' I have no disciplinary actions in my employee file, and am loved by all of the customers. I am shocked about this decision. It is unfortunate that Mr. Huckabee and the other Republicans felt threatened by my little sign. It cost me my job."

unless you have union representation or a contract you can get fired for just about anything except ethnicity, gender, or age. Some states may include sexual orientation. Outrageous. Hopefully, this will get so much bad publicity management will reconsider.

4. But, why would she want to go back and work for that employer?
That is a side of Huckabee that surprises me. He has a good sense of humor, but he certainly must have a dark side, too. Quick trigger.

5. Maybe she likes her job.
Some people don't have a choice whether to work for a certain employer or not. I'd want the entire world to know what happened if I were her. Hope she stays strong.

6. He likes throwing his weight around. He harassed a law enforcement
officer when his nearly grown son was in trouble for being cruel to an animal or something at a camp. I don't think the man got fired, but Huckster made his life miserable. Huckabee likes the privileges that power can bring.

7. I'm glad she is pointing out that Huckster helped get her fired.
I'm not saying she can sue or anything, but it messes with his image, and hopefully, the "elitism" of Huckster's actions will be transferred to McSame.

8. What world does Dumbfuckabee
live in that he thinks "professionalism" referenced to an airport restaurant waitress has anything to do with what she was doing? Besides that, what's embarrassing about one candidate seeing someone supporting another candidate?
