Now that everyone is finding out about that this will be staged, how could this hurt the democratic party? I say expose the bastards, get it out, send out emails. Let the people know that this going to happen and it has nothing to do with the our party.

Guilt by association. It seems to be a quite effective tactic.
Even if demonstrations at the Democratic Convention were staged by provocatuers the media would not report it as such. PRoving it would be difficult and people who really don't pay a lot of attention to politics will just see "RIOTS AT DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION!"
That 's what happened in '68 and Nixon won big time. THe details of the chaos in '68 got very little attention. What people saw on their TVs in Iowa and Florida and Missouri was a RIOT AT THE DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION.
