How long do you think it will take the Federal Government
to render aid to the tornado-damaged areas in Virginia?

Or is there even a FEMA anymore?

5. Is Virginia a swing state?
Do they have lots of donors? Does Trent Lott own a home there?

8. No, Trent Lott doesn't own a home there........
But, an even bigger bigot, former Sen. George "Macaca Boy" Allen owns a home in the state.

9. Well then!
Let's get that ice over there pronto! (someone call Disasteraid.com!)

And land the choppers and fix the homes and throw some money around, etc.

Oh, anyone want to guess when the first photo-op will be and who will be in it?

I am going to say, April 29, 2008, Chimpy will pose with several black children and maybe a firefighter or two at around noonish, EST.

11. Depends on how Blue your area is...
Live in a Blue state and take a number...FEMA will get there...eventually. But if you're in a red state and a district that votes for the GOOP, watch mountains get moved...literally. Reminds me of a friend who lived in Florida and suffered through a couple Hurricanes in different parts of the state. In '04 when he lived in Broward County, FEMA was a figment of the imagination...but a year later when he moved across the state to near Naples...when a hurricane hit that area, there were FEMA critters all over the place before the rain stopped.

12. That will depend on what the Governor of Virginia
requests for aid from FEMA. This was not an area wide disaster. Damage was isolated to a couple of square miles. Should be within the State of Virginia's emergency services capability to do what needs to be done.
