John Stewart kicked KO ass tonight
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you John Stewart !!!!

I loved John Stewart's coverage of Rev. Wright.

He put a lot more common and intelligent sense of Rev Wright's recent Speeches.

Thank you John cause I was busting a vein in my forehead of KO"s focus on it, and getting all these people on who said how it will hurt Obama's campaign.

Now i"m busting a gut with John Stewart's coverage.

My faith is restored.

1. I love both Jon Stewart and Keith Olberman.. And I am sorry that the MSM...
including Keith chose to diss both Rev. Wright and Obama tonight.... Seems like all of the MSM cannot get enough of this story.... Sure seems to me there are many more important things to report on... But I guess not.

3. What did Jon say?
I agree with the KO assessment. I don't know what's going on over there at MSNBC but I have bee very frustrated with their coverage. I'm very disappointed in Rachel Maddow as well.

Is someone being pressured or threatened because I just don't see any intelligent analysis of the Wright fiasco.

4. I haven't seen the piece yet although I did tape it
the corporate media's intention is to swift-boat Obama via Wright so there will be no intelligent analysis from them. Welcome to DU, L_S.

5. I haven't been watching the pundits lately...

I just can't take it anymore. The nightly news is irrelevant, and the cable channels won't touch the real issues. The only news broadcasts I'm paying much attention to are Bill Moyers and Frontline. The rest of them have gone over the edge.

Our problems are so deep and so serious, it seems the media are afraid to look. They have to make up these little issues because the truth is too hard to face, much less report. It's so much easier to concentrate on these narrow, unimportant, stupid little issues -- people are so easily distracted.

6. If they had been doing their jobs, as government watchdogs, we wouldn't be in this mess by now.
They have been proud to imagine themselves as journalists without doing the work journalists have always been expected to do.

They have interfered with the democratic process by blocking the public from knowing what the government has been doing.

7. The Shame Of The Corporate Media
The "Opinionators" have turned what was once classified as News into a Roman Circus. They set up their story lines and morality plays and then cast it with cartoon characters to suit their agenda. Reverend Wright was made-to-order as the "angry black man"...the yin to Obama's yang...that be assured that no matter how "nice" Obama was, there was Wright lurking...ready to rape the white wimmen and loot the neighborhoods. Reverend Wright also became a good way for racists to show their fangs...calling their attacks on Wright and Obama as political. Wright called them on their bullshit...and so did Stewart!

What frosted the corporate media's ass is that instead of groveling at their feet, Wright is sticking it up their asses. He tore them to shreads at the National Press Club and the corporate media responded in non-stop trashing. It has nothing to do with the economy or Iraq or health care...it's Roman Circus...Wright dared to speak truth to power and now he and his "surrogate", Obama are going to pay a price.

8. Chrissy Tweety Matthews used the Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde analogy--all on his own
that should be forever Tweety's legacy -- his most mature display of political analysis

9. ?
KO covers the "news" of day even when he doesn't think it's interesting or important. It's not like he doesn't have to cover American Idol too. I didn't see much interesting in either the KO or Stewart comments. I guess it because I find the story such a non story it really ranks right there with who won idol.
