Jimmy Carter makes me proud
He may not have been our best president (tho he was better than a lot of people want to admit) but he truly is a citizen of the world. He is a man of uncompromising integrity and a true man of peace who has devoted his post presidency to peace making and helping those less fortunate. He is a Christian in the best sense of the word.

4. I love JC
The hatred of JC on so many boards really makes me realize how many batshit crazy, hateful Americans there are in the world. They actually call him "evil". Jimmy Carter has lived his whole life as a caring, giving individual and has been the best post-presidential diplomat in history. I believe he truly is a deeply good man.

And what is really distressing
is the fact that you are in the minority. To most of the dopes in this country he's a punch line.

6. He is an angel on earth.
He deserves a place in Heaven. He is a true Christian. I envy how sure he is about it all. I only wish my faith was as strong as his. He is the Christian that I aspire to be some day.

9. I have a friend who spent the weekend with him last weekend
at the Carter Center.
When I have time to type a long post (that will inevitably sink anyway)...I will share some stuff with everyone.

10. Mr. Carter is probably the only reason I stay interested in politics.
I keep thinking "surely, there is another Jimmy Carter out there - an honest politician who isn't just out to get what he can get for himself". There is no finer man than Jimmy Carter.

13. I seen him on Rose....
....the other night and I came away from the broadcast with even MORE respect for the man....Jimmy Carter is truly a Peacemaker....

....he will do anything, go anywhere for Peace (including taking large risks)....and he's loved and respected around the world for his work....

....his Presidency was a product of the times....but if in the end, a man or a woman is the sum total of their lives and experiences, then Jimmy Carter has to be one of the greatest Presidents we've ever had....I'm so proud he's a Democrat!
