Last night on PBS I saw what Haitians are subsisting on. Mix a bit of road dirt with butter and water, let it harden in the sun, eh voila'! That's dinner. Absolutely no nutritional value, but apparently this stuff makes you feel somewhat full. Gotta keep the kids full so they don't realize how screwed up this is. :(

7. I think there are hungry people in Iraq, too, but this was heartwrenching.
WTF are we doing or not doing, and why? This is not the US I grew up with. :(

actually you'd be surprised and the nutrient content of good dirt.
