Republicans are the lowest slime in the Universe.
This morning I found something on my chest and got to get it off.

This isn’t a revelation to anyone here but I still have to rant.

The living conditions at Ft. Bragg are deplorable as were the conditions at Walter Reed Hospital. And I am guessing at many, many more of the veterans facilities. It took a father’s video tape and placement on Youtube (not the so called liberal media) to break the story. Apparently Army inspector and so-called journalist aren't even looking.

After Walter Reed the Army should have inspected all other vets facilities for living conditions. Failure to do that should result in at least a General getting fired.

Republicans will tell you they’re patriot because they wear lapel pins and have magnets on their cars. But they consistently vote down every bill aimed at helping our vets. The vets who are risking and giving their lives and limbs to support the republican war agenda are snubbed by those very same republicans. How low can you get? They are more concerned that Exxon make half a trillion dollars a year than to treat our vets decently. Republicans are the lowest slime in the Universe.

for the lowest slime to be such, but I must at least say that republicans (small r) are challenging you for your title.

right next door. So, something is being done for long term, the short term is an immediate problem. This video has done well to get this corrected.

to some Repub-crony-owned private firm a while back?

That's not even a "bet" these days; it's just standard procedure.

7. The problem is--Which Democrat(s) are willing to go into their
districts and firmly point this out???

Which Media Organization(s) are willing not only to report this
situation but firmly lay it in the Republican's Lap??

The GOP have always been able to slide bexause Democrats
do not believe in fighting???

The Democrats live in the DC bubble and never seem to pick
up on issues and use them to their advantage.

Good post and I understand how you feel.

They are running up a debt that will take food from the mouths of our children.
They are poisoning the water our children will drink.
They are poisoning the air our children will breathe.
They are plotting to roast our children alive under a fossil-fuel CO2 blanket.

Republicans are cannibals.

14. Treasonous slime
Republicans = exposing own troops to depleted uranium munitions (not to mention millions of Iraqi citizens), shocking conditions in VA hospitals, ignoring PTSD, charging disabled soldiers that percentage of their hiring bonus represented by the time the soldier failed to serve (due to his disabling injury), charging them for everything from haircuts to travel home after duty period, on and on. The phrase "Support the troops" is simply part of the Republican liars' culture. Fighting men and women are simply "dumb stupid cattle" to them (Kissinger quoted by Woodward). Un-American, anti-patriotic slime.

Go to a VFW hall and have a drink with some real vets some time. I guarantee you will meet some thoughtful, well-informed GOPers among them.

Or look up a group like Republicans For Choice. Or Log Cabin Republicans.

They're not all wackadoodles like their leaders.

28. So do they vote republican? Do they enable this administration to continue the destruction
of our country? Since no republican Congress person has openly spoken out against the administration's assault on our Constitution and country I must assume they all condone the behavior. Does the term lock-step mean anything? How many of these people in 2004 voted for Bush? They may bitch now but will they vote for a Democrat? Probably not.

Now, they may well vote for McCain because he is one of theirs. That is unfortunate but not much we can do about it at this point. We blew our chance on that one.

27. I come from a long line of republicans and I was one until Nixon.
But today, with all the horrendous things the republican administration and republican members in Congress have done, I do not believe there is a decent republican out there. If they vote for any and let me emphasize ANY republican they are enabling this RAPE of our country. I also know some republicans that are decent people, but they live in lala land and vote for the criminals. They have no excuse. Damn them.

She quit about 10 years ago when the fundamentalist wackadoodles finished their takeover of the GOP.

I remember very clearly her saying, in 1974 the day Nixon resigned, that we wouldn't see another Republican President for a whole generation.

31. The living conditions at Ft. Bragg and Walter Reed,
looked very similar to the conditions of a lot of the barracks I lived in and most of that was under Bill Clinton. I think people are just more willing to complain now and it's easier to do in the internet age. Having said that these problems should be fixed no matter what administration is in power. I always tried to take care of troops under my command and always spoke out when living conditions were less than acceptable. Sometimes things got fixed and sometimes I got told to shut up. I stayed with my guys anyway so at least they had company.

not passing increases in funding for vets. Also, they are the ones that want our soldiers to go in harms way but not willing to go the extra step to give them decent equipment or living conditions.
