My SS # ends in 1-20 and I haven't yet (mine should be direct deposit). I don't personally know anyone who has, either.

Just wondering if BushCo. has managed to FUBAR their own boondoggle (again).....

Paying my taxes HURT much more than it should have for $20,000 while I'm caring for a disabled relative. I need my "rebate" to offset that.

2. 2 People At My Office Have

3 others still waiting. The fed is not making any deposits tomorrow so you low # people should see yours on Friday. The entire direct deposit was supposed to be complete by May 2, but I think it was another lie by Boosh.

Someone I know (who is waiting for a paper check) will be using hers to file for bankruptcy.

or only those with low #s ? I'm so confused. We fall in the second set of #'s that originally were supposed to get the deposit May 9th, but I hoped that maybe we would get it sooner, as we have $1 and change in the bank right now (dh does get paid tomorrow, but rent is due).

have it directly deposited on May 2.
But last week the Lil' Diktator apparently revealed that things were to be accelerated. He could be huffing paint again, though...

20. UPDATE Guys! According To The Feds The Low # High # SS Thing

Was to be scraped and all DIRECT DEPOSIT people are supposed to get their rebate by May 2. This was the info on the financial wire after Boosh gave his talk last week. I only know two people who have received their rebate. The Fed will not deposit on Thursday so do not look for it tomorrow, but if the Fed was telling the truth on the wire all DD should be COMPLETE on May 2.

The operative word here is IF.

We have some big bills coming up, and the gas company wants almost 500 bucks because we were late a couple of times this winter. Charge me 250 dollars for heat every month and I'm GOING TO HAVE TO PAY IT A LITTLE LATE ASSHOLES!

If you read the FAQ on the IRS website, it says, and I quote, "The stimulus payment will not reduce your refund or increase the amount you owe when you file your 2008 return."

I'm keeping mine in the bank. At least I've cleaned up my previous financial messes, and I'm in the process of building a large oh-shit fund. I won't be happy with it until it grows to the 5-digit range - the way the economy's going, I want enough to survive for at least six months if I lose my job.

25. UPDATE From Post 20!

All Direct Deposit YES I said ALL regardless of SS# is SUPPOSED to be complete by May 2. New plan laid out last Friday. If the software is operating correctly EVERYONE who got a direct deposit on their Federal Income Tax will get their rebate by May 2!
