We're working ourselves to death
Divorce rates, crime rates, heart disease, screwed up kids... all with one root cause: too much work.

How can you raise a good kid, excercise, follow politics, do ANYTHING when you work 60 hours a week? This is why our society is so screwed up. Where is the movement for limits on work hours? Our taskmasters are working our country to death for their 300 million dollar salaries.

The only political figure i have EVER heard even mention this is Michelle Obama, but really what would she be able to do about it?

1. agreed.. that's why stopping is so necessary.. we could systematically
shut down the world if everyone in America stopped for a day and didn't go on vacation.. Labor day is supposed to be a laborless day.. tell that to the other 1/2 that still must serve you.

4. got to work to pay for all that shit that falls apart and wears out...
so you can pay for more of the same shit to replace it...all on the credit card so you can give the banks an extra 5 or 7 or 12 or 25% of the money you spent...and to pay for that house that you 'own', with taxes on it that you have little or no say about the distribution of monies from those taxes...so you can try to feed, clothe and harbor your family in some degree of comfort and protection with 'cheap' products made in some far away country by border-line slave labor, while your wages have decreased as your jobs 'went away'...so you can fuel your vehicle with products that have created some of the largest profits for corporations at the same time they have contributed to a spiraling rise in the costs of all goods shipped anywhere...

...so you can choose between feeding your family, heating/cooling your house, driving your car, replacing necessities...getting by...

unless you are one of the 15%-ers (or whatever they determine that group at the top is)...in which case, everything is going just fine

5. Isn't it part of the "Productivity" statistic?
Every time I hear about it going up, I cringe. My SO is already working 60+ hours a week. So is one of my brothers, and the other brother works longer hours in cold and flu season. And W* seems to think it is great.

7. I remember that town hall meeting and him saying that. IT didn't get
enough air time during that election. * was desperately trying to make a silk purse out of that sow's ear.
